Nitriding

NITRIDING

 

The aim of the nitriding process is to create a wear resistant surface layer to surface of the product. At the same time structure of the layer can be modified with nitride and carbonitride precipitations as well as layers containing oxides.

 

Main applications are including gears, camshafts, valve parts, extrusion screws, forging tools, diecasting moulds and plastic moulds.

 

We have modern furnaces available for nitriding processes. The maximum space for the charge is height and wideness 760 mm and length 1300 mm. The maximum temperature is 580 ºC.
