HARDENIG AND TEMPERING

 

The aim of the treatment is to achieve high hardness/strength to the product. Hardening treatment will be ordered by informing the hardness level needed. Hardness level achieved depends on carbon content and the level of the other alloying components of the steel. The final hardness/strength properties can be varied with tempering temperature.

Hardening is used to rise the hardness and strength of the highly loaded components, such as drive shafts, springs, nuts and bolts, tools for manufacturing processes like forging and machining.

 

We has modern furnaces available for handling up to 1000 kg loads. The maximum space for the charge is height 1400 mm and diameter 1000 mm. The maximum temperature is 1050 ºC.
